DREAMY ELOPEMENT IN DAVOS

This couple crossed the ocean to exchange their vows in one of the most beautiful valleys in Davos: the Sertig Valley. In the most remote part of the romantic side valley of Sertig, the landscape is still characterized by old farming villages. And there you really can only hear the sound of the wind and the crystal clear water of the creek.

The groom first got ready in the all-wood bedroom of the chalet and then finished his preparations in the garden. After all, how can one resist such an idyllic landscape!

The day began in a cozy and typical mountain chalet in the little village of Sertig. The Bride got ready on the balcony for the makeup session, with a light morning breeze and with the view of the stunning valley. Then she went to her cozy bedroom, ending up wearing her wedding dress, which had a truly artistic touch: the last layer of fabric was entirely hand-painted, white on white, and it was lovely.

When we arrived at the small alpine church, a small white stone building, the priest was there waiting for them.
There was no need for grand decorations or lavish arrangements: every little detail was just perfect. from the small vase of flowers, to the ancient frescoes.

When they left the church, a toast awaited them, of course. Oh and the cows, yes, there was a parade of cows. I would say almost perfect timing.

Months before the big day, the Bride told me she had discovered that Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, the German expressionist artist, had immortalized the Sertig Valley in a stunning series of paintings. Among those paintings was the very same small alpine church where they had chosen for their ceremony. This detail made everything even more special. They walked through the meadows of the valley, surrounded by the same landscapes painted more than a century ago. The beauty of the place definitely melded with the spontaneity and zest for life of these two souls. I loved watching them lose themselves in a light, let me tell you, stunning as the sun began to set.
