Something about me

I started photography during my fine art studies in Verona, Italy, a beautiful city where you can breathe history, art and beauty.

I like to laugh and have a good glass of red wine with my life partner before dinner and I deeply love my special needs sausage dog named “Cipolla”

Photography is not my only passion: I love painting, drawing, traveling, visiting art exhibitions and going to music concerts.
“To me, photography is about finding something interesting
in an ordinary place…
I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and
everything to do with the way you see them.”
Elliott Erwitt
why I started with dog photography?
In 2016, my dachshund Cipolla came into my life, transforming it in the way only a dog can. The adventures, unconditional love, and endless laughter she brought became cherished moments that will forever hold a special place in my heart.
In 2019, our journey took a difficult turn when Cipolla became paralyzed in her back legs due to a herniated disc. It was then that we learned she was one of many dachshunds affected by IVDD. Despite this challenge, thanks to the incredible dedication of skilled veterinarians and physical therapists, Cipolla regained a fulfilling life. With the help of her new wheels, she continues to embark on countless adventures, living each day with boundless joy.
Around that time, during the pandemic, I began photographing Cipolla. I wanted to create images that celebrated her indomitable spirit and preserved the memory of her life. This experience inspired me to expand my passion for photography to include pet photography, allowing me to capture the unique bond between people and their beloved animals.
I’ve come to realize that capturing the love we have for our pets through photography is an extraordinary gift. These tangible memories allow us to hold on to the moments we share with them, even after they’ve gone. Our pets are with us for only a short chapter of our lives, and that’s why I strive to make their memory timeless through my work. The beauty of photography lies in its ability to immortalize every fleeting moment, making them last forever.
I feel especially connected to people who, like me, care for a disabled dog. Disability is not a life sentence: a disabled dog can have a dignified, joyful life filled with play, snuggles, and endless affection. And the love they give in return is beyond measure and repays all the hard work.
If you want to follow her adventures Cipolla has her own instagram account @cipollathesausage Obviously.
